Lycecort-12 Tablet is used to treat Duchene muscular dystrophy in adults and children above 2 years of age. It contains Deflazacort, which binds to immune cells, resulting in the inhibition of inflammation and autoimmune diseases that occur due to the production of chemicals called cytokines responsible for inflammation. It makes organ transplantation possible and treats muscle disorders like Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Some people may experience side effects such as nausea, chest pain, vomiting, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, skin rash, tremors, nervousness, diarrhoea and fast heartbeats. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

  • Build balanced meals, allow yourself to enjoy treats in moderation, and prioritize sleep and stress management through exercise and relaxation techniques.
  • Eat a balanced diet containing enough proteins, fibre, healthy fats, vegetables and fruits.
  • Get quality sleep for about 7-9 hours.
  • Try to manage stress with meditation or yoga.
  • Drink enough water.
  • Exercise regularly as it helps regulate appetite.
Here are the steps to manage the medication-triggered Upper respiratory tract infection:
  • Inform your doctor about the symptoms you're experiencing due to medication.
  • Your doctor may adjust your treatment plan, which could include changing your medication, adding new medications, or offering advice on managing your symptoms.
