Aldostix Tablet used to treat oedema. It effectively reduces excess fluid levels in the body and treats oedema (swelling) associated with heart, liver, kidney, or lung disease.

Aldostix Tablet works by increasing the amount of urine that is passed out from the kidneys. Thus, it lowers high blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, or chest pain.

In some cases, Aldostix Tablet may cause side effects such as low blood pressure (hypotension), dehydration, electrolyte disturbances (potassium and sodium), headache, nausea, or dizziness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you are suffering from any kidney, liver or heart disease. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please tell your doctor. Reducing the amount of table salt (sodium chloride) in your diet often relieves body swelling.

Aldostix Tablet is used in the treatment of oedema (fluid overload). The detailed uses of Aldostix Tablet are as follows:

• Oedema Treatment: Aldostix Tablet helps to treat oedema by reducing excess fluid accumulation in the body's tissues, often associated with conditions like heart failure, liver cirrhosis, or kidney disorders.
• Improvement in heart and kidney function: Aldostix Tablet helps to improve heart and kidney function by reducing excess fluid in the body, preventing complications like swelling, shortness of breath, and strain on the heart and kidneys.

• Take Aldostix Tablet with or without food as advised by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safe and effective use.
• Swallow Aldostix Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

• Aldostix Tablet is used to treat oedema (fluid retention).
• It helps the body lose excess fluids by increasing urine production.
• Reduces swelling (oedema) associated with heart, liver, kidney, or lung disorders.
• Maintains potassium balance in the body.

• Aldostix Tablet should not be given to people allergic to any of its components, who have low blood pressure (less than 90 mmHg), have had a heart attack, have kidney disease (with creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min), have liver disease, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Aldostix Tablet is contraindicated in low blood pressure (hypotension), cardiogenic shock (sudden stopping of blood flow to the heart), and aortic stenosis (heart valve problem).
• Aldostix Tablet may cause vocal changes, so special attention must be given to the patients using Aldostix Tablet and whose voice is significant for their work (like actors, singers, or teachers).
• Hypovolaemia or dehydration with electrolyte and acid-base disturbances must be corrected before using Aldostix Tablet .
• Try not to stop taking Aldostix Tablet on your own, as doing so may raise your blood pressure, thereby increasing the risk of getting heart disease and stroke.
