Fusigen Ointment is used in the treatment of bacterial skin infections. The detailed uses of Fusigen Ointment are as follows:

• Skin Infections: Fusigen Ointment is used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected eczema and infected dermatitis.
• Treatment of Infected Burns: Fusigen Ointment is used to treat bacterial infections in burns, especially those caused by staphylococcal bacteria. Thus, promotes healing of burn wounds.
• Post-Surgical Wound Care: Fusigen Ointment is also used to prevent bacterial infections after skin surgery or wounds, particularly in cases of open cuts or wounds.

Fusigen Ointment belongs to the group of medicines called ‘antibiotics’ used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected cuts and abrasions, infected eczema and contact dermatitis. Fusigen Ointment contains ‘Sodium fusidate’ that works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, Fusigen Ointment helps in treating skin infections. Fusigen Ointment is indicated for treating and prophylaxis of skin infections caused by Staphylococcus bacteria.
