Fusiwin Ointment is used in the treatment of bacterial skin infections. The detailed uses of Fusiwin Ointment are as follows:

• Skin Infections: Fusiwin Ointment is used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected eczema and infected dermatitis.
• Treatment of Infected Burns: Fusiwin Ointment is used to treat bacterial infections in burns, especially those caused by staphylococcal bacteria. Thus, promotes healing of burn wounds.
• Post-Surgical Wound Care: Fusiwin Ointment is also used to prevent bacterial infections after skin surgery or wounds, particularly in cases of open cuts or wounds.

Fusiwin Ointment belongs to the group of medicines called ‘antibiotics’ used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected cuts and abrasions, infected eczema and contact dermatitis. Fusiwin Ointment contains ‘Sodium fusidate’ that works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, Fusiwin Ointment helps in treating skin infections. Fusiwin Ointment is indicated for treating and prophylaxis of skin infections caused by Staphylococcus bacteria.
