About Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet

Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Hypertension is a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness, and dyspnea (shortness of breath).

Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet is a combination of Telmisartan and Metoprolol. This medicine relaxes the blood vessels and lowers the blood pressure.

Not everyone who takes Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet will experience these side effects. In some cases, you may experience common side effects, including headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, stomach pain, and a slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time.

You can take Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet with or without food. It should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite, crush, or break it. What if I have taken an overdose of Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet as it may cause overdose. If you suspect you have taken overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

Drug Warnings

  • Do not take Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet if you are allergic to telmisartan or metoprolol.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors, aliskiren, quinidine, disopyramide, or other medications that lower blood pressure.
  • Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver diseases, biliary obstruction, heart problems, low blood pressure, diabetes, elevated potassium levels, blood circulation problems, asthma, COPD, metabolic acidosis, pheochromocytoma, slow heart rate, psoriasis, myasthenia gravis, or Prinzmetal angina.
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet .
  • Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet is not recommended for children below 18 years of age.
  • Metpure-Tel 40 Tablet may cause dizziness and tiredness, so drive or operate heavy machinery only if you are alert.
