About Prolomet R 50 Tablet

Prolomet R 50 Tablet is primarily used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Hypertension is a medical condition in which the blood exerts high pressure (the force exerted by circulating blood) against the walls of blood vessels.

Prolomet R 50 Tablet is composed of metoprolol and ramipril. Metoprolol helps in slowing down the heart rate, making it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. Ramipril relaxes and widens the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood to all parts of the body.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects like tiredness, dizziness, shortness of breath, bradycardia, hypotension, diarrhoea, headache, and rash. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

You can take Prolomet R 50 Tablet with food or without food. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite, or break it. Your doctor will advise you on how often you should take Prolomet R 50 Tablet , based on your medical condition.

Avoid taking Prolomet R 50 Tablet if you are allergic to it or any other. Try not to stop taking this medicine on your own, even if your blood pressure is normal, as it may worsen your condition. Let your doctor know if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
