Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's helps lower blood pressure, thereby reduces the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness and dyspnea (shortness of breath). However, most of the time, the signs and symptoms of hypertension are none.
 
Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's is a combination of three drugs, namely: Chlorthalidone, Telmisartan, and Metoprolol. Chlorthalidone lowers blood pressure and swelling by removing excess fluid and electrolytes via urine. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, thereby relaxes the blood vessels and lowers the blood pressure. Metoprolol slows down the heart rate and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. Together, Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's helps treat hypertension.
 
You are advised to take Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, stomach upset, and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children as efficacy and safety have not been established. Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid consuming alcohol as it might cause increased dizziness. Drug-Drug Interactions: Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's may interact with medicines such as anti-hypertensive (aliskiren), anti-depressant (duloxetine), painkiller (aspirin), anti-convulsant (pregabalin), anti-diabetic (insulin glargine), diuretic (furosemide), hormone (levothyroxine), benzodiazepine (alprazolam), vitamin (ergocalciferol, cholecalciferol).

• Regular exercise is also recommended to complement treatment with Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's.
• Eat a diet rich in whole grains, vegetables, and fruits.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Maintain a healthy weight with proper diet and exercise.
• Practice meditation or yoga as it helps in managing stress.
• Avoid consuming food rich in potassium, such as banana, broccoli, almonds, avocado, and potassium supplements.

• Regular monitoring of blood pressure levels, kidney function and electrolyte levels while taking Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's is advised.
• If you are due to have any surgery, inform the doctor that you are taking Telma MCT 25/6.25 Tablet 10's.
