Calcirest Tablet 10's belongs to the class of 'nutritional supplements', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Calcirest Tablet 10's consists of Elemental Calcium (mineral), Calcitriol (Vitamin D3), and Elemental Zinc (mineral). Elemental Calcium is a mineral used to prevent or treat calcium deficiency. Calcitriol is a synthetic version of Vitamin D3 that raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. Elemental Zinc is a mineral that promotes the growth and development of body tissues. 

Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. Calcirest Tablet 10's is likely safe to consume. In some cases, it may cause common side effects like constipation, nausea, vomiting, and stomach upset. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Calcirest Tablet 10's or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. Please tell your doctor if you have hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), heart/liver/blood vessel diseases, kidney stones, and malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food) before starting Calcirest Tablet 10's. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Calcirest Tablet 10's. It is advised to limit alcohol consumption since it may affect calcium absorption. This supplement should be used in children only when advised by the doctor.

Brief your medical history to the doctor if you have any heart/liver/blood vessel diseases, kidney stones, achlorhydria (little or no stomach acid), low levels of bile, and phosphate imbalance before starting Calcirest Tablet 10's. Calcirest Tablet 10's may pass into the breast milk, hence consult your doctor before taking Calcirest Tablet 10's if you are a breastfeeding mother. Inform your doctor before starting Calcirest Tablet 10's if you are pregnant. Drinking alcohol can affect calcium absorption; therefore, it is advised to limit the alcohol intake while using Calcirest Tablet 10's. Children should be given Calcirest Tablet 10's only when advised by the doctor.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Calcirest Tablet 10's may interact with antibiotics (ceftriaxone, ketoconazole, penicillamine), heart-related medicines (digoxin), HIV/AIDS medicines (dolutegravir), hormones (levothyroxine), and fits medicines (phenytoin, phenobarbital).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks and alcohol as they may inhibit calcium absorption.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Calcirest Tablet 10's is not recommended in hypercalcaemia, hypervitaminosis D, malabsorption syndrome, and Vitamin D toxicity. Please consult your doctor for more advice.

• Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese or milk-based custard in your diet.
• Eat daily a serving of broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, spinach and other green leafy vegetables.
• Include the best dietary sources of vitamin D, such as fish liver oils and vitamin D–fortified milk.
• Snack on calcium-rich nuts like Brazil nuts or almonds. 
• Sprinkle sesame seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. Sesame seeds are high in calcium.
• Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks and alcohol as they might inhibit calcium absorption.

• Replace the meat with tofu or tempeh for extra calcium in your food.

It is advised to timely monitor your Vitamin D levels through blood examination.

Nutritional deficiency: A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food. This condition occurs when a person's nutrient intake is lesser than the body's recommended requirement.
