There is a fresh cut injury on the leg causing pain. Is it safe to give Diclop-SP tablet for pain relief in this situation?
For a fresh cut injury, the first priority is proper wound care, clean the area gently with clean water, apply an antiseptic, and cover it with a clean dressing to prevent infection. For pain relief, it is usually safer to use a simple medicine like paracetamol rather than a combination like Diclop-SP (which contains diclofenac and other components), as such combinations are not always necessary for minor injuries and may have more side effects, especially on the stomach. Diclop-SP should only be given if a doctor has specifically advised it and if the person has no contraindications. Also check if a tetanus vaccination is up to date. If the cut is deep, bleeding heavily, shows signs of infection (redness, swelling, pus), or pain is severe, seek medical care promptly.
