I have irritation in my eyes along with watering and redness. My eyelids are painful, and I am unable to tolerate heat while cooking. What could be the reason, and what should I do?
Your symptoms of eye irritation, watering, redness, painful eyelids, and discomfort with heat may be due to eye allergy, dry eyes, or mild conjunctivitis. Heat, smoke, and cooking fumes can further irritate sensitive eyes. Try using lubricating (artificial tear) eye drops, avoid rubbing your eyes, and protect them from smoke and strong heat. You can also apply a cold compress for relief. If symptoms do not improve in a few days, consult an eye doctor for proper examination and treatment.
