My mother was treated for intestinal tuberculosis with AKT-FD tablet for 18 months and was declared fully recovered. She now has persistent pain in the right side of her abdomen. Other doctors have found no issues and only suggest gastric medicines. Could this still be a gastric problem, or something else?
Persistent right-sided abdominal pain after completing intestinal TB treatment may be caused by internal scarring or adhesions formed during the healing process rather than a simple gastric problem. Please consult your doctor or a gastroenterologist to rule out structural changes in the bowel or other underlying causes.
