I have developed a skin lesion on my face. What could be the cause?
A skin lesion on the face can have many simple causes, such as acne, a small infection, an allergy, sun damage, or conditions like Contact Dermatitis or a mild fungal infection, and it may appear as a bump, patch, or discolouration. In most cases, it is not serious, but the exact cause depends on its appearance, duration, and symptoms like pain, itching, or growth. Avoid picking or applying multiple creams on your own, and use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser to protect the skin. If the lesion does not improve within 1-2 weeks, increases in size, changes colour, bleeds, or becomes painful, it is important to consult a doctor or dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
