  5. I am a college student. I done razor which caused allergic reaction on my face consulted dermatologist and she gave azelic acid gel 10 or 20 percent I don't remember now . Then that healed meanwhile i purchased aziderm cream 20 percent without prescription and kept applying which caused a new pimple which i squeezed and made a permanent mark later I peeled it off and that stayed as a mark Meanwhile i had a function at college and in order to look perfect i applied halo skin tint above my sunscreen which caused another two pimples on the other side of my face which i again squeezed and became marks. Now after few days i thought aziderm 20 percent cream will clear it and applied that on dark marks But new pimple came on nearby it. I know it's all mistakes I regret it But pls help me I want my healthy skin back As i naturally don't have acne and these are results of my mistake Please help me

Your skin concerns are mainly due to irritation from using strong creams without medical guidance and squeezing pimples, which has led to marks. These marks often improve with time and proper care, though it may take some patience. For now, stop using strong products on your own, avoid touching or squeezing pimples, follow a gentle routine with a mild cleanser, non comedogenic moisturizer, and daily sunscreen, and consult a dermatologist who can guide you with a safe, tailored treatment plan along with diet and lifestyle advice to support healthy skin recovery.

Here are practical self-care steps to help your skin recover after razor irritation, azelaic acid use (Aziderm), and pimples from halo skin tint.

🏥 Identify and stop irritants

  • Stop using azelaic acid 20% (Aziderm), halo skin tint, and any other new topicals until skin calms.
  • Avoid squeezing or peeling pimples further — this causes the lasting dark marks you describe.

🏥 Gentle cleansing

  • Use a mild, fragrance‑free cleanser once or twice daily with lukewarm water; pat skin dry.
  • Do not scrub, use alcohol toners, or exfoliate while irritated.

🏥 Moisturizing

  • Apply a non‑comedogenic, fragrance‑free moisturizer (look for ceramides, glycerin or niacinamide).
  • Use a light gel if oily, a cream if dry; moisturize after cleansing and before sunscreen.

⚕️ Sun protection

  • Use broad‑spectrum sunscreen SPF (Sun Protection Factor) 30+ every morning and reapply if outdoors; mineral sunscreens with zinc oxide are less irritating.
  • Avoid makeup (like halo tint) until the skin heals to prevent new breakouts.

🏥 Avoid shaving irritation

  • Pause shaving until inflammation settles. If you must shave, use a clean single‑blade razor, shaving gel, shave gently with hair growth, and moisturize afterwards.

🩺 When to see a dermatologist

  • See a dermatologist if marks or breakouts do not improve after 2–3 weeks, or to discuss safe treatments for dark marks (topical/light procedures).
  • Seek urgent care or call Apollo Emergency - 1066 if you develop spreading redness, increasing pain, pus, fever, or swollen lymph nodes.
