I have tinea versicolor on the backside of my neck and shoulders. What should I do?
You may apply an over-the-counter antifungal cream, lotion, or shampoo containing clotrimazole, ketoconazole, or selenium sulphide as directed. Keep the affected area clean and dry, avoid excessive sweating, and wear loose clothing to reduce moisture. If the patches do not improve, spread, or recur frequently, please see a doctor for stronger oral or topical antifungal treatment.
