I have used Seroflo and Airtec FB inhalers seasonally for over 10 years. Recently, my voice has become hoarse, and I usually do not gargle after using the inhaler. What can I do to relieve and prevent this?
Hoarseness may occur if steroid residue from your inhaler irritates your throat or causes a fungal infection. Rinse your mouth and gargle with water after using your inhaler. Speak less if your voice is strained, and consider using a spacer device to ensure the medication reaches your lungs rather than your throat.
