I have been taking Lukotas 3D for a year and use Airtec 250 Rotacaps as needed for bronchial allergies. Whenever I skip Lukotas 3D for a day or two, I develop itchy skin rashes. What medicine should I take to treat these rashes?
The itchy skin rashes that appear when you stop Lukotas 3D may be related to an underlying allergic tendency that is being controlled by the levocetirizine and montelukast in the medicine. When the medicine is skipped, the allergy symptoms may return, leading to itching or rashes. This does not necessarily mean the medicine is harmful, but it suggests that the allergy condition may still be active. For relief of mild allergic rashes, doctors commonly prescribe antihistamine medicines such as levocetirizine, cetirizine, loratadine, or fexofenadine. Calamine lotion or soothing moisturisers may also help reduce itching. However, since the rashes keep recurring, it is important to identify possible triggers such as dust, food, heat, sweating, soaps, or other allergens. Do not stop or change your asthma or allergy medicines suddenly without medical advice. Airtec SF 250 Instacap (Salmeterol and Fluticasone) helps control airway inflammation and should be used as prescribed, not only when symptoms become severe, unless your doctor has advised otherwise. You should consult an allergy specialist or physician if the rashes become widespread, involve swelling or breathing difficulty, or persist despite treatment.
