My daughter has a fever, and I have Omnacortil, Predone, and Alex-P syrups at home. Which of these can I safely give her right now?
For a child with a fever, it is usually safe to give paracetamol or another standard fever-reducing medicine. Omnacortil and Predone are steroid medications and should not be given without a doctor?s prescription, as they may cause serious side effects. Alex P syrup is for coughs and colds and does not reliably reduce fever. You may give your daughter plain paracetamol syrup, keep her well hydrated, and monitor her temperature. If her fever persists or worsens, please see a doctor immediately.
