What are warning signs of heart disease?
Heart disease doesn’t always show up as sudden chest pain. Warning signs can include chest pressure or discomfort, shortness of breath, unusual tiredness, irregular heartbeat, dizziness, or fainting. Some people may feel pain in the jaw, neck, back, or arms instead of the chest. Swelling in the ankles or feet, nausea, or cold sweats can also be clues. These symptoms may look different in men and women, and can vary with age. If any of these symptoms are severe, sudden, or getting worse, it’s essential to seek medical help right away.
