My 1-month and 12-day-old baby has been taking Switch drops, Phenergan drops, Althrocin drops, and Nasoclear drops for the last 3 days, but the cough and cold have not improved. What should I do next regarding this prescription?

Please consult your pediatrician immediately. Stop giving Phenergan drops right away; promethazine is strictly contraindicated in children under 2 years of age due to the risk of severe, life-threatening breathing difficulties. Additionally, giving two oral antibiotics (Switch and Althrocin) simultaneously is highly unusual for a 6-week-old baby and requires urgent medical review. Stop all oral medications and only use Nasoclear (saline) drops to clear nasal congestion until a doctor physically examines your baby. Since newborns with respiratory symptoms can deteriorate quickly, an immediate in-person medical evaluation is critical for your baby's safety.
