My child has had a fever and a severe cough for the last 3 days, and the doctor prescribed Xyclav antibiotic, Mef Wel Plus syrup, and Ambrosol L syrup. She is vomiting after taking the medicines because of a cough and is unable to keep them down. What should I do?
If your child is vomiting after taking the medicines and cannot keep them down, she needs immediate medical review. Vomiting may prevent the antibiotic from working properly and can lead to dehydration. Offer small sips of fluids and avoid forcing medicines if she vomits immediately.
