I have an anxiety disorder and have been taking Amisant 50 and Paxidep 12.5 for the last 2 years, and I am feeling better now. My psychiatrist advised me to continue the medicines for a few more months. Can I stop them now, or should I continue as advised?
Feeling better does not always mean the anxiety has fully settled. Stopping Amisant and Paxidep too early can increase the chance of symptoms returning. These medicines are usually reduced slowly after a stable period. It is safer to continue as advised and review the plan with your doctor before making any changes.
