I have had persistent itching on the sides of my feet, soles, and between my toes for the past three months. Moisturiser has not helped, but Clocip Cream provides some relief, so I suspect it may be a fungal infection. I recently completed a 7-day course of Clingen Forte Vaginal Capsules and used Clocip Cream externally to treat a vaginal fungal infection, and my symptoms have improved. Would taking a single Fluconazole 150 mg tablet be appropriate in my case, or would you recommend a different treatment?

The itching on the sides of your feet, soles, and between your toes that has lasted for three months is suggestive of a fungal infection, such as athlete's foot, but other skin conditions like eczema or dermatitis can cause similar symptoms. Since Clocip Cream (clotrimazole) provides relief, a fungal infection is possible. However, taking a single Fluconazole 150 mg tablet is usually not the standard treatment for a long-standing fungal infection of the feet. Most cases respond well to regular use of a topical antifungal cream for 2 to 4 weeks, along with keeping your feet clean and dry and changing socks daily. If the infection is extensive, keeps coming back, or does not improve with topical treatment, a doctor may prescribe an oral antifungal medicine for a longer course after confirming the diagnosis. Avoid self-medicating with Fluconazole without medical advice.
