Nausea can be a side effect of Ascoril-D (dextromethorphan combination) or your antibiotic DOXT-SL (doxycycline). Taking these medications with food can help ease stomach upset. However, your severe sore throat and difficulty swallowing require attention. Doxycycline can cause throat irritation if it doesn't pass completely into the stomach. Always take it with a full glass of water and remain upright for 30 minutes afterward. You can continue taking Crocin (paracetamol) for pain relief, but please contact your doctor promptly to evaluate your throat symptoms.
