I have had a recurring cold and throat congestion for the past 10 days, and I have difficulty sleeping at night because of the cough. I have taken Azax 500, Cipmox 500, Cheston Cold, and Montair LC, but there is no relief. What should I do?
Recurring cold and throat congestion for many days with no relief despite medicines may not be a simple infection and can be due to allergy or airway irritation. Avoid taking further medicines on your own and focus on warm fluids, steam inhalation and proper rest. Keep your room clean, avoid dust and keep your head slightly elevated while sleeping to reduce cough at night. Consult your doctor for proper evaluation and a more suitable treatment plan.
