I have closed comedones what is the best way to fix them other than adapalene, I used adapalene but my skin got very irritated. The comedones don't seem to disappear
Closed comedones (whiteheads) can be stubborn, and treatment often needs to be tailored to each person’s skin. Since adapalene irritates, gentler alternatives may be considered under a dermatologist’s guidance, such as azelaic acid, niacinamide, or low-strength salicylic acid. Professional options like comedone extraction or mild chemical peels may also be used. Supportive care with a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser and moisturiser is important. Improvement usually takes several weeks, and results can vary depending on your skin type and lifestyle, so any new treatment should be introduced gradually and monitored by your doctor.
