A fever of 101?F for two days in a child is usually caused by a viral infection. Babygesic syrup (Paracetamol) can lower the fever for a while, but it may return as the medicine wears off. Continue giving paracetamol at the correct dose, ensure your child drinks enough fluids, and allow them to rest.
