I have had a chronic allergic skin problem on my right leg for 5 to 6 years. I have used many creams without much improvement. Betamil GM cream helped slightly, but the area itches a lot and sometimes bleeds when I scratch. Please advise what I should do.
You should stop using Betamil GM cream, as prolonged use of steroid-based creams may thin the skin, leading to bleeding and further irritation. It is important to consult a doctor or dermatologist for a proper examination and, if needed, a skin scraping test to confirm the cause and start specific treatment. Until then, try not to scratch, keep the area moisturised, and use a simple moisturiser to help with itching and bleeding.
