I have developed skin rashes on the right side of my chest wall. They start as small pink spots, gradually increase in size, turn brownish, and then disappear after using Betnovate-N and Clotam creams. What could be the cause?
The rash, starting as small pink spots, increasing in size, turning brownish, and recurring, suggests a possible fungal infection or chronic skin condition. Although creams like Betnovate-N and Clotam may give temporary relief, steroid-containing creams (like Betnovate) can actually worsen fungal infections and cause recurrence when used repeatedly. It is advisable to stop self-medication and consult a doctor or dermatologist for a proper diagnosis. You may require an antifungal cream or oral antifungal treatment, along with maintaining good hygiene and keeping the area dry to prevent recurrence.
