In a second pregnancy, protection against Tetanus is usually given with Tetanus toxoid vaccine. If the mother received full TT/Tdap vaccination in the previous pregnancy within the last 3?5 years, often only one booster dose is needed; otherwise, two doses are given (one early in pregnancy and another after 4 weeks).
