I had itching and burning with white discharge 2years back and consulted a gynaec and came to know it is candidiasis vulvoginitis. I was recommeded to use candid B cream for 10days and suppository for 7days for the 1st time. Then after i again got recurrent infections, went again to consult and was recommended to use fluconazole tab 1 tablet weekly for 2 weeks , candid b cream for 10days and probiotic & prebiobic tablet for 1 month. now after 3.5months i again got the infection. Why this is recurrent? what medication to use to stop this for ever?I am really tired of this.
Recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis is a condition characterised by repeated yeast infections despite treatment. It can occur due to uncontrolled diabetes, frequent antibiotic use, hormonal changes, pregnancy, oral contraceptive pills, low immunity, tight synthetic clothing, or infection with resistant Candida species. Sometimes the infection was not fully cleared, or the diagnosis needs confirmation with a vaginal swab and fungal culture. These cases require proper evaluation and a supervised long-term treatment plan from a gynaecologist. Blood sugar testing and identification of the exact fungal species are important. There is no instant permanent cure, but with correct diagnosis and guided management, most women achieve good long-term control. Please consult a gynaecologist for reassessment and targeted treatment.
