I have ringworm near the anus and am currently using Candid dusting powder and Neobactonil. How can I prevent it from spreading?
Ringworm near the anus can spread easily due to moisture and friction, so along with treatment, it is important to take preventive steps. Keep the area clean and completely dry, wear loose cotton underwear, and avoid tight or sweaty clothing. Continue using antifungal treatment as advised, but avoid using creams that contain steroids unless prescribed, as they can worsen the infection. Do not scratch the area, wash your hands after touching it, and avoid sharing towels, clothes, or bedding; wash them regularly in hot water. You may continue using an antifungal powder to keep the area dry, and if the infection is not improving, spreading, or keeps coming back, consult a doctor for proper treatment.
