I have red, irritated patches near my groin and upper thighs for more than 3 months. I have used Onabet b cream and taking Allegra 180 and Candizone 200 capsule, but the problem is not resolving permanently. What further treatment is needed?
Red, itchy patches in the groin for several months are most often due to a persistent fungal infection like Tinea Cruris, which can become difficult to treat if steroid-mixed creams are used or treatment is irregular. Keep the area clean and completely dry, wear loose cotton clothing, and avoid sharing towels or tight garments. Continue a plain antifungal treatment regularly for a few weeks even after the rash looks better, as stopping early can cause recurrence. Since your symptoms have lasted more than 3 months despite treatment, you should consult a doctor for proper evaluation and possibly a longer, supervised treatment plan to ensure a complete cure.
