My doctor advised me to use Clingen Forte Vaginal Capsules for 7 days, followed by 20 alternate days. Since the usual course is 7 days, is it safe to continue the treatment beyond the initial 7 days, or can it cause any harm to my health?
Clingen Forte Vaginal Capsule contains clindamycin, clotrimazole and tinidazole, which are used together to treat mixed vaginal infections caused by bacteria, fungi, and parasites. A 7-day course is commonly prescribed for many infections, but in some cases, your doctor may extend or adjust the treatment depending on the severity, recurrence of symptoms, or risk of incomplete infection clearance. Therefore, if your doctor has advised an extended schedule, it is usually based on your specific condition. Using it for the recommended duration under medical supervision is generally safe. However, unnecessary prolonged use without review may increase the risk of side effects such as local irritation, vaginal dryness, or disturbance of normal vaginal flora. It is important to follow your doctor’s exact instructions and complete the full prescribed course. If you experience burning, itching ,or unusual discharge during treatment, inform your doctor for reassessment rather than stopping or continuing on your own.
