I have had persistent throat pain around my tonsils for the last month and have completed two courses of antibiotics, but the pain has not improved. I also have pain while swallowing, a dry cough at night, and vertigo, and I am allergic to sulpha drugs and erythromycin. What should I do?
Throat pain lasting a month despite antibiotics needs proper examination rather than repeated medicines. Ongoing pain with swallowing and night cough may be due to chronic tonsil inflammation, allergy, or acid reflux. Vertigo is unlikely to be directly related and should be assessed separately. Please consult a doctor for a detailed evaluation and targeted treatment.
