I have had fever for the past 4 days. My doctor initially prescribed Zifi 200 and Zerodol-P, but I developed rashes and reactions, so those medicines were stopped and I was advised to take Crocin only. The fever comes down after taking Crocin but returns again, especially in the morning when it reaches 103?103.8?F. I also have body ache, headache, and pain behind the eyes. Today, my doctor advised me over the phone to start Zathrin 250 twice daily along with Crocin. Why am I not improving, what could this be, and what treatment should I follow?
High fever for 4 days with body ache, headache, pain behind the eyes, and fever returning after Crocin may occur in infections such as Dengue Fever, malaria, flu, typhoid, or other viral illnesses. The rash you developed may have been a medicine reaction or part of the illness itself. Since the fever is reaching 103?103.8?F despite treatment, you should get examined directly by a doctor and have blood tests such as CBC, dengue, malaria, and typhoid testing. Continue only the medicines advised by your doctor, stay well hydrated, rest, and avoid self-medicating with additional antibiotics or painkillers. Seek urgent care if you develop bleeding, severe weakness, vomiting, breathing difficulty, confusion, or dehydration.
