I have almost recovered from herpes zoster, but I still have a blackish scar on my nose from scratching. I used Cutiyt and Lomela creams during my treatment. Could you please suggest a good scar removal cream to treat this mark?

After herpes zoster heals, it is common to develop dark marks or post-inflammatory pigmentation, especially if the area was scratched during healing. These marks usually fade gradually over weeks to months. Protecting the area from sunlight is very important because sun exposure can make pigmentation darker. A dermatologist may suggest creams containing ingredients like azelaic acid, kojic acid, glycolic acid, or mild retinoids, depending on your skin type. Silicone-based scar gels may also help improve skin texture. Avoid using strong steroids or fairness creams without medical advice, especially on the face, because they can damage the skin if used for a long time. If the scar becomes raised, painful, or does not improve, consult a dermatologist for further treatment options such as chemical peels or laser therapy.
