I have been experiencing a low-grade fever, left lower abdominal pain, weakness, drowsiness, and a burning sensation in my palms and soles. I have had bleeding piles for the past 10 years, and recently the bleeding has increased, appearing in my stool, which is sometimes blackish and loose. My ESR is 20. Please advise which tests and treatments I should consider.
Your symptoms and long-standing bleeding piles need careful evaluation. Please consult a doctor for a physical examination and consider tests such as a complete blood count, stool examination, liver and kidney function tests, and possibly a colonoscopy to identify the source of bleeding. Treatment will depend on these results and may include managing piles, addressing any underlying infection or inflammation, and correcting nutritional deficiencies. Early assessment is important to rule out serious conditions such as intestinal ulcers or other bowel diseases.
