While chronic ITP in adults is rarely 'cured' permanently with medication, it can be successfully managed long-term. It is quite common for ITP to not respond to steroids or dapsone, but show excellent progress with Revolade (eltrombopag). Revolade works differently by encouraging her body to produce more platelets. Responding well to Revolade is a very positive sign that her condition can be kept stable and safe. Please continue working closely with her hematologist to safely manage her treatment.
