I have been taking Depran-10 once daily and Etizola Beta as needed for the past 2 months. I have now developed chickenpox. Should I continue these medications or stop them until I recover?
In most cases, you can continue taking Depran-10 (escitalopram) and Etizola Beta (etizolam + propranolol) even if you have chickenpox, as these medicines do not interfere with the infection or its recovery. However, since chickenpox can cause fever, weakness, and dehydration, you may feel more drowsy or tired, especially with Etizola Beta, so it should be used carefully and only when really needed. The most important thing is not to stop Depran suddenly, as that can lead to withdrawal symptoms or worsening anxiety. Make sure you stay well hydrated, get enough rest, and follow proper care for chickenpox. If you develop severe symptoms like high fever, breathing difficulty, confusion, or if you are taking any new medicines for chickenpox, it is best to inform your doctor to avoid any interactions. Overall, continue your regular medicines, but stay in touch with your doctor if anything unusual occurs.
