Following an angioplasty, new medications, particularly blood thinners and cholesterol medications like Atorvastatin, might cause symptoms including constipation, acidity, joint or muscle discomfort, and muscle soreness, which can limit physical activity during recuperation. Stress and painkillers can also disrupt the stomach, leading to constipation or acidity. These are normally tolerable, but you should see your doctor to modify medication or look for side effects if you have significant muscle soreness or if your symptoms don't go away.
