Shoulder pain in people with diabetes is often due to stiffness of the joint, commonly called frozen shoulder, and the best management focuses on gradual improvement of movement and pain control; regular physiotherapy with guided stretching and strengthening exercises is the most important step, and you should do these exercises consistently at home as advised. Applying warm compresses, maintaining good posture, and using pain-relief medicines when needed can help, but controlling your blood sugar is equally important because high sugar levels can worsen stiffness and delay recovery. Avoid forcing movements or heavy lifting, and follow up with your doctor if pain is severe or not improving, as additional treatments like injections may sometimes be required.

Severe pain and swelling around a wisdom tooth impaction are usually due to infection of the surrounding gum (pericoronitis), and this typically needs dental treatment rather than home remedies alone. You should see a dentist as soon as possible. They may clean the area, prescribe pain relief and antibiotics if there is infection, and often recommend removal of the wisdom tooth to prevent repeated problems. Until then, you can rinse gently with warm salt water, maintain good oral hygiene, avoid chewing on that side, and take a mild pain reliever if needed. Seek urgent care if swelling increases, you develop a fever, or have difficulty opening your mouth or swallowing.
