I am having stomach pain, difficulty sleeping, and loss of appetite. I am unable to eat properly. What could be causing these symptoms, and what should I do?
Stomach pain, along with poor sleep and loss of appetite, can happen for several common reasons. It is often due to acidity, gastritis, or a mild stomach infection. In some cases, stress, anxiety, or irregular daily routines may also disturb digestion and affect both appetite and sleep. Certain foods, such as spicy, oily, or junk foods, as well as tea, coffee, alcohol, or frequent use of painkillers, may irritate the stomach and worsen symptoms. To manage symptoms, try eating small, simple meals at regular times rather than heavy meals. Choose bland foods, drink plenty of water, and avoid foods that trigger discomfort. Maintaining a fixed sleep schedule and reducing stress through relaxation or light physical activity may also help improve symptoms. If the pain persists for more than a few days, becomes severe, or if you notice warning signs such as vomiting, fever, blood in your stools, or unexplained weight loss, it is important to consult a doctor for proper evaluation and treatment.
