Can I use Facicare cream alone without any other cosmetics on my face? Can it cause any harm with long-term use?

Facicare cream contains Hydroquinone, Mometasone, and Tretinoin. It is usually prescribed for short-term treatment of dark spots and uneven pigmentation caused by melasma. You can apply it on clean, dry skin as directed by your doctor, and generally, you do not need to use other cosmetic products on the same area, as they may increase irritation. However, a gentle cleanser and a non-comedogenic moisturiser can be used if needed, and sunscreen during the day is essential. Long-term use without medical supervision can cause harm. Mometasone is a steroid that may cause skin thinning, acne-like eruptions, and visible blood vessels with long-term use. Hydroquinone, when used for long periods, may cause irreversible darkening of the skin called ochronosis. Tretinoin may cause dryness, redness, and sensitivity. It should be used only for a limited duration under a dermatologist?s guidance. If irritation occurs, stop using it immediately and consult your doctor.
