The current medication combination carries a risk of paracetamol overdose. Both the fever medicine and the cold syrup contain paracetamol; administering them together can accidentally exceed the safe daily limit. Please consult your pediatrician immediately to review the dosages. The persistent fever may be because the antibiotic (azithromycin) and ear drops (ciprofloxacin) require 24 to 48 hours to take effect, or the infection is viral. For now, avoid giving the cold syrup and paracetamol syrup together. Keep your child hydrated, use lukewarm water sponging to help soothe the fever, and consult your doctor promptly to safely adjust the treatment plan.
