I am pregnant and taking Susten 300 mg, Duphaston twice daily, and Fertigyn 5000 IU injection for the past 6 weeks, and for the last 10 days, I have noticed sores around my upper lip. What can I do to treat this?
Sores around the upper lip during pregnancy are often due to infections like cold sores or irritation, especially when your body?s immunity changes. These can appear as small, painful blisters or cracks and may be triggered by stress, hormonal changes, or minor infections. Since you are already on pregnancy support medicines, this issue is likely separate but still needs proper care. Susten 300 mg, Duphaston, and Fertigyn 5000 Injection are used to support pregnancy and are not usually known to cause lip sores directly. However, your body may be more sensitive during this time, making such issues more likely to appear. Avoid applying random creams on the lips. Keep the area clean and dry, avoid touching or picking the sores, and stay well hydrated. Your doctor may suggest a safe topical treatment only if needed, after checking the sores, especially given that you are pregnant. If the sores are painful, spreading, or not improving, consult your doctor so the right and safe treatment can be given without affecting your pregnancy.
