I have been having a fever for the past 10 days, and I already took Zifi 200 and paracetamol, but I am not getting relief. Which antibiotic should I take now, and is this something serious?

Having a fever for 10 days despite taking treatment needs proper evaluation rather than changing antibiotics on your own. A long-lasting fever can be due to viral infections, typhoid, dengue, urinary infections, or other causes, and each requires a different approach. Taking another antibiotic without knowing the exact reason may not help and can sometimes delay correct treatment. Zifi 200 and Paracetamol can provide temporary relief, but if the fever persists, it may indicate the underlying cause has not been fully identified or treated. Paracetamol only reduces fever for a short time, while antibiotics work only if the infection is bacterial and sensitive to that drug. Consult your doctor again instead of starting another antibiotic. You may need further tests, such as blood or urine tests, or other investigations, only if required to find the exact cause. Meanwhile, stay hydrated, take rest, and avoid self-medication. If you have symptoms such as severe weakness, vomiting, a rash, or high fever spikes, seek medical care promptly, as early diagnosis is important.
