I have had slow, frequent urination for 10 years. I'm a mild alcoholic and have had thiamine deficiency. Is benfothiamine helping?
Only if your urinary symptoms are caused by chronic nerve damage from a thiamine shortage can benfotiamine be helpful. Ten years of slow, frequent urination frequently indicates problems with the nerves and muscles of the bladder or prostate, not just a vitamin shortage. Benfotiamine may help nerves, but it's unlikely to be a whole remedy, therefore you should have a urologic evaluation.
