Fludac should not usually be stopped suddenly after regular use because the body and brain gradually adjust to the medicine over time. Abrupt discontinuation may sometimes lead to withdrawal-like symptoms or return of the original condition for which the medicine was started. The risk may be higher if the medicine has been used for many weeks or months continuously. Some people may experience dizziness, anxiety, irritability, sleep disturbance, mood changes, headache, weakness, restlessness, sweating, or unusual sensations after suddenly stopping the medicine. In certain cases, depression, panic symptoms, or emotional instability may also return or worsen temporarily. Because each person responds differently, dose reduction is commonly done gradually under medical supervision to allow the body to adjust safely. Please consult the treating doctor before reducing or stopping the medicine, especially if there is severe anxiety, low mood, confusion, suicidal thoughts, or worsening emotional symptoms.
