I have been having itching in the lower part of my penis for nearly a year, and I am currently using FLUSID-M cream. The cream provides relief for about 10 to 15 minutes, but the itching comes back. What treatment may help properly control this problem?
Itching around the lower part of the penis for such a long time can happen due to fungal infection, sweat and moisture buildup, allergy, friction, eczema, diabetes, or irritation from repeated cream use. When a cream provides only very short relief, and the itching quickly returns, it often means the underlying cause is still active, or that the skin has become irritated from prolonged treatment. FLUSID-M Cream may temporarily calm irritation, but long-term self-use of combination creams can sometimes worsen fungal infections or make the skin more sensitive. Tight underwear, sweating, poor drying after bathing, and frequent scratching can also keep the itching going. Wearing loose cotton underwear and keeping the area dry may reduce irritation. Washing gently with plain water and avoiding strong soaps or powders may also help the skin settle. Since the problem has continued for nearly a year, a direct skin examination would be more useful than repeatedly changing creams. If redness spreads, cracks appear, burning develops, or white patches form, inform your doctor.
