Based on my history of taking HCQS-400, Mexate, Folitrax, and currently Rumalef 10 mg daily, and my recent lab reports showing high inflammation (CRP of 503) but normal liver function (SGOT/SGPT of 26/34), which disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) would be the most suitable option for me?
Since your current dose of leflunomide (Rumalef) isn't fully controlling the inflammation, your rheumatologist has several excellent options. They may consider safely increasing your leflunomide dose, combining it with hydroxychloroquine, or transitioning you to biologic DMARDs or JAK inhibitors, which are highly effective at targeting stubborn inflammation. Because your liver is doing so well, you have many safe pathways forward. Please share these results with your specialist soon so they can adjust your plan and help you find relief.
